Hawaii – for Summer Tan this Winter • c.1920
Hawaii Tourist Bureau ad, middle to late 1920s. A happy young woman dashes from the surf at Waikiki carrying a surfboard with the name “HUKI II” carved into it.
In the background on the left is the dining room of the Moana Hotel, which extended out over the sand at Waikiki on pillars. It was demolished in 1948.
